What is a road-rail vehicle?
This is the terminology used for a vehicle that can both travel on the road with its 4 wheels on tires, but also on railway tracks using 2 additional railway wheels which keep it in the rails.
These very versatile vehicles facilitate maintenance and upkeep work on railways by being able to get supplies from areas close to construction sites by road and then be perfectly positioned on the rails.
